Big cleaning for Bangkok to ease smog problem

BANGKOK, Feb 17 (TNA) -- Workers of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) will late Saturday clean several roads in central Bangkok following smog and heavy dust particles found earlier this week in the capital. City Hall workers will start cleaning from Rama IV to Ratchadamri roads late Saturday in order to avoid traffic congestion after they had clean and removed dusts around the Victory Monument and surrounding areas late Friday. Suwanna Jungrungrueng, deputy permanent secretary of BMA, said concerned agencies are requested to help cleaned footpaths and roads where traffic is heavy almost throughout the day following heavy dust particles were seen in the capital earlier this week. On Sunday, workers are schedule to clean areas and spray water to wash the dust in Bang Na, Bang Na –Trat Highway and some parts of Sukhumvit Road. (TNA)
