BIPA Director-General participates in GCC directors of public administration institutes meeting

Manama, June 22 (BNA): Bahrain Institute of Public Administration (BIPA) Director-General Dr. Raed Mohammed Bin Shams participated in 19th GCC meeting of directors of public administration institutes. Dr. Bin Shams affirmed that the pandemic and its challenges have opened doors for new opportunities, by pushing people to employ mechanisms innovation to come up with new development solutions and initiatives, explaining that today's normal and virtual learning and training has become a pivot and an essential element in the process of development and upgrading government outputs. The meeting resulted in a number of essential recommendations in the field of institutional and individual capacity-building, the most prominent was the adoption of the strategic plan submitted by Bahrain for joint action that includes four strategic tracks; partnership in the local and regional knowledge industry based on global scientific development, support for government innovation and joint promotion of culture and excellence projects, adaptation of best practices between member states and the international community, and enhancing cooperation to achieve regional and international representation and unify positions. The operational plan of the secretariat's work was also approved, which included a number of initiatives aimed at upgrading the GCC government cadres and raising their skills to meet the aspirations and contribute to the development process in light of this pandemic and its aftermath.
