BJA board elections to take place on Saturday

Manama, Jan. 24 (BNA): The Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) announced the end of nominations period for the association’s board elections. Ahdiya Ahmed (chief editor of the Daily Tribune) and Yousef Al Binkhalil (chief editor of Al Watan) will compete for the board chairmanship. The below mentioned candidates will compete for the eight-member board seats: 1-Mohammed Bu Eida, (Information Affairs). 2-Rashid Al Ghayeb (Al Bilad). 3-Ahmed Kareem (Al Bilad). 4-Rashid Al Hamer (Al Ayam). 5-Sarah Najeeb (Al Ayam). 6-Hassan Al Sitri (Al Watan). 7-Al Harith Busaiba’ (BNA) 8-Abdulrahman Al Midfa’ ((Information Affairs). 9-Mohamed Al Sai’ee (Akhbar Al Khaleej). 10-Mohamed Bahar (Al Ayam). 11-Sakeena Al Tawash (Al Ayam). 12-Zahraa Habib (Al Watan). The association invited valid members to participate in the polls by attending the General Assembly meeting on Saturday, January 26 at 9 am at the Bahrain Society of Engineers’ premises to elect the board chairman and members and to discuss the outgoing board’s reports.
