BJA board receives Palestinian ambassador

Manama, (BNA): The new Bahrain Journalists’ Association (BJA) board members received the Palestinian Ambassador Taha Mohammed Abdel Qader at its headquarters in Juffair. The Palestinian envoy congratulated the new BJA board members on their election, stressing the role of the press in society and impact on the public opinion in expressing people’s views and shaping social awareness. BJA Chairperson Ahdeya Ahmed expressed thanks and appreciation to the Palestinian envoy for visiting the association’s headquarters and support to journalists, expressing keenness on cooperation with the ambassadors of brotherly and friendly countries to bolster the role of fourth estate. The BJA chairperson hailed the members who attended the first annual assembly and interaction with the newly-elected panel, expressing reading to meet all journalists and media staff and hear their ideas and proposals.
