BJA President hails HM King's fatherly message to students

Manama, Apr. 13 (BNA): Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) President Ahdeya Ahmed Al Sayed said HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’'s speech to his children the students was reassuring and reflected HM the King's concern for and keenness to follow up on their affairs. HM the King's words carried several messages of motivation and encouragement to all sectors in Bahrain to join hands in the battle against the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, while keeping an eye on the prosperous and promising future of the Kingdom, she said. Al Sayed pointed out that HM the King's appreciation of the media was clear as His Majesty began the royal address by expressing thanks to the staff of "Be Aware" programme, stressing that HM the King's appearing through a video call reaffirms close follow up on all the media efforts in the exceptional circumstances through which the country and the entire world are going. She said that the speech expressed gratitude and appreciation to all the frontline workers who are not sparing any effort and making every sacrifice in the combat against the pandemic with the aim of protecting the residents and citizens of Bahrain, adding that HM the King has steadily voiced his appreciation of all the national efforts serving the homeland. Al Sayed also stressed that the fatherly address through a video call, which is the same technology used today by schools and universities in online learning and by government bodies in the completion of their work, clearly demonstrates that HM the King is following closely on all the details of the situation in the Kingdom through the extraordinary circumstances. Appreciating the endless concern and support of HM the King to the younger generations, she said that HM the King's motivating and encouraging speech to the students underlined that this generation carries the responsibility of the Kingdom's development as an integral part of Team Bahrain, adding that the gesture to direct the royal speech to students is a potent motivation to them. Al Sayed emphasized that HM the King's fatherly words have always been an empowerment to all, encouraging everyone to move forward towards a brighter future, overcoming challenges no matter how formidable they might look and transforming challenges into opportunities.
