BMA assists drought victims in Thai South

NAKHON SI THAMMARAT (TNA) - The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office in Thailand's southern Nakhon Si Thammarat Province says that several agencies have kept providing assistance to drought victims in his province. The office's chief, Jessada Watananurak, told reporters on Friday that even the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration or BMA has dispatched 20 water trucks to his province to help the local drought victims. According to the senior Interior Ministry official, royal rain making operations since June 22, totaling 156 flights, have not yet met an official target due to low mass of clouds and relatively low humidity.
