BNA chief: Government Forum important for serving citizens

Manama, Oct. 26 (BNA): Director-General of the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), Ahmed Mohammed Al-Mannai, has stressed that the Government Forum 2018, due to be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, at the initiative of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, is important for consolidating efforts to implement the visions and coordinate collective work in a more comprehensive and effective manner to attain the achievements and plans that serve the citizens. This is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to carry on serious work to reach the aspired for development priorities and goals set by the kingdom to meet the citizens’ expectations in various fields, he said. BNA director-general lauded the role of the Government Forum in developing the performance of the public sector, and enhancing the mechanisms of dealing with various changes and development requirements more effectively. The forum is also important for building on the previous achievements, and creating a fertile environment for more growth and development through coordinated efforts of government departments, in accordance with the principles of the Economic Vision for Bahrain 2030, and through new ways in which services and programmes are delivered within the comprehensive development efforts, Al-Mannai added. The Government Forum 2018 will kick off on Sunday, and will bring together all public sector institutions. It will review the achievements of ministries and government departments.
