BNA participates in Sixth News Agencies World Congress

Sofia, June 13, (BNA): Bahrain News Agency (BNA) Director General Abdullah Khalil Buhejji and Chief Editor Nasser Isa Al Thawadi, are participating in the sixth News Agencies World Congress in the Bulgarian capital Sofia on June 13-15. "This congress is one of the most important international news forums, in which national and international agencies participate, and this is an opportunity for us to confirm our presence in this field," Buhejji said. Such conferences contribute effectively to the exchange of experiences, enhance cooperation between news agencies and highlight their role in improving the media process, he added. Buhejji stressed that Bahrain’s participation is a step forward towards the renewal and modernization of all levels and areas of media work in light of the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, First Deputy Prime Minister. He pointed out that Information Affairs Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi plays very important role to promote media, including BNA, in the Kingdom and to strengthen its role. The sixth News Agencies World Congress addresses the development of financial resources through new sources, as well as fake news, artificial intelligence. It also features workshop, discussions, and a vote to choose the host country for the 2022 General Conference.
