Bomb blast injures 10 in Istanbul, police chief says

ISTANBUL (A.A) - March 1, 2012 - Ten people were injured in a remote-control bomb explosion in Beyoglu district of Istanbul on Thursday, police chief said. Istanbul Police Chief Huseyin Capkin said that the bomb exploded when a vehicle carrying 21 police officers was passing by on Sutluce Imrahor Street, stating that 10 of them were slightly injured. Replying to a question, Capkin said that it seemed that the bomb was mounted on a motorbike.
