Book “Mamlyuk” about great Sultan Beibars
Astana, December 22, 2009 (Khabar) - Its author is a Kazakh writer, script writer and film director Yermek Tursunov. The book was written during six years. The book is based on historical facts, the writer thoroughly studied them for a long time in Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Yemen, Israel. The events in the book take place in the 13th century during the Arab caliphate period. The author describes the life of a slave boy who became the king. This is not the first book of Yermek Tursunov about outstanding personalities. Previously, he wrote a story “Mustafa Shokai”, which later served as a script for the same film. “Mamlyuk” will also appear in cinemas very soon. The film rights were bought by the film company of film director Sergey Bodrov. And the book will be on sale until the end of December.
