Astana, 18 November 2008, (Khabar) - The Ministry for Education and Science has presented a book entitled "The future begins today" which was devoted to the 15th anniversary of the "Bolashak" international scholarship.
This book comprises data about foreign education services, methods of education, evaluation criterion and information about leading foreign universities. The publication also contains information about the importance of specialists among Kazakhstan's companies and governmental organizations. This book is primarily addressed to contenders for the "Bolashak" scholarship.
Serik Irsaliyev, head of strategic development department, RK Ministry for
Education and Science:
- We are trying to become part of global society and the "Bolashak"
programme gives us a unique possibility to understand, realize and perceive
the advantages of any given system in our work. So we are happy to employ
"Bolashak" scholarship holders.
So far, the "Bolashak" scholarship, which was introduced in 1993 on the
initiative of the president, has been granted to almost 4.5 thousand of
Kazakhstan's residents and this number is increasing every year. The head of
department of the ministry for education and science Serik Yersaliyev noted
that despite the difficult financial situation in the world, Kazakhstan is
not going to cut the number of international scholarships. Since 2005, the
"Bolashak" scholarship has being granted to 3 thousand people.
