Book presentation in Rome
Rome, March 16 2010 (Khabar) - A unique book “Kazakhstan. Religion and society in history of Central Asia” about the history of Kazakhstan has been presented in Rome. This work, which features unique photographs and materials, is a result of a long-running cooperation between Italian and Kazakh scientists. The edition was published under the authority of the prestigious Venetian Institute of History supported by the National “Lincean Academy” which is considered to be one of the oldest and most respected scientific institutions in Italy.
Tiziano Treu, Italian Senator, director of Institute of History:
- This edition was published thanks to our countries’ mutual interest in history. Our institute has long been working on the issues of connections between religion and history, civil society’s life and politics.
The creators hope that the book, which has already been presented to president Nazarbayev and highly appraised, is only the first step made by scientists towards the reinforcement of relations between Kazakhstan and Italy.
Tiziano Treu, Italian Senator, director of Institute of History:
- It’s a very expensive edition. It will be received by the most prestigious libraries and research institutes in Italy and abroad. This volume will be the gem of our Institute’s collection of books. Hopefully, we will continue our cooperation.
Italian people say studying of traditions and history of Kazakhstan opens new boundaries of knowledge.
