Boosting parliamentary coordination stressed

Manama, Jan. 17 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh underlined the importance of dialogue and communication to boost coordination between the Shura and Representatives Councils. He pointed out the need for more cooperation between members of the legislative branch to achieve citizens’ aspirations. He also affirmed keenness of the Shura Council on promoting the kingdom’s democratic process. Al Saleh was speaking at a meeting between members of the Shura and Representatives Councils, at an invitation by the Secretaries General, which was attended by Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal. He underscored the importance of integration between both councils in fostering the legislative system and bringing about more achievements. He also expressed keenness on more cooperation between officials from the Secretariats General of both councils during the fifth legislative term, thanking the Shura Council Secretary General Chancellor Osama Ahmed Al Asfoor and the Representatives Council Secretary General Chancellor Rashid Mohammed Bunejmah for the initiative, wishing them more success in promoting the role of the Secretariats General.
