Boys and their coach prepare for ordination

CHIANG RAI, July 24 (TNA) – Eleven young football players and their coach attended related ceremonies ahead of the ordination tomorrow. The group performed the worshipping ceremony to ask for forgiveness at Wat Phra That Doi Wao this morning and the head-shaving ceremony is scheduled at 4 pm today. A Lanna-style ceremony to boost their morale will be held for their good luck. Two boys will not join the group to be ordained as one of them is a Christian and the other is Muslim. Tomorrow, after the ordination at Wat Phra That Doi Tung, the boys will become novices and the coach will be a monk. They are intent to make merit for Lieutenant Commander Saman Guman, who lost his life while helping save them in the cave and the ordination is also a gesture of gratitude to everyone, who helped them in the rescue operations.
