Brunei Sultan Leaves After Three-Day Visit

PETALING JAYA (Selangor, Malaysia), Oct 5 (Bernama) -- The Sultan of Brunei Darussalam, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, left Wednesday after a three-day visit to Malaysia during which he attended the 20th Malaysia-Brunei Darussalam Annual Leaders' Consultation in Putrajaya. Foreign Minister Anifah Aman and Urban Well-being, Housing and Local Government Minister Noh Omar, who was the minister-in-attendance, bade farewell to the Sultan, his consort Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha and the Brunei delegation at the Royal Malaysian Air Force base in Subang near here. At the annual consultation Tuesday, the respective delegations headed by the Sultan and Prime Minister Najib Razak agreed, among other things, to initiate discussions on the Pan Borneo Highway network to improve connectivity and accelerate economic and social growth in the two countries. Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha and the Brunei delegation were hosted to lunch by Najib and his wife Rosmah Mansor at Seri Perdana Tuesday. -- BERNAMA
