BTEA concludes roadshow in UK

London, June 24 (BNA): The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) concluded its roadshow held across the United Kingdom where the delegation met with representatives from various travel agencies and tour operators in the UK. They also held meetings and discussed the Kingdom’s distinctive tourism offering with an aim to attract large tourist groups. The roadshow aims to strengthen relations with travel and tourism offices in the UK, and introduce the Kingdom of Bahrain as a leading tourist destination by exhibiting the Kingdom’s unique tourist offerings to support the development of the local tourism sector, which comes in line with BTEA’s strategy which focuses on four pillars, namely: Awareness, Attraction, Access and Accommodation. "We have successfully concluded a roadshow in the UK in cooperation with our representative office, where we have been able to establish partnerships with a number of leading tourism companies in order to attract tourists to the Kingdom of Bahrain. We were also able to promote our new tourism developments and projects that will undoubtedly attract some of the world's leading brands in hospitality, retail and leisure," said the Director of Marketing and Tourism Promotion at the BTEA, Mr. Yousef Mohamed Al Khan. The delegation was headed by various BTEA officials and included representatives from the Kingdom’s national airline, Gulf Air, alongside a number of hotels and travel agencies. The roadshow kicked off in Manchester on June 17th and ended in London on the 19th of June. The roadshow comes in line with the BTEA’s strategic outreach program to promote the tourism brand ‘Ours Yours’ aimed at showcasing the Kingdom of Bahrain as the ideal tourism destination to the regional and international markets and further promote the Kingdom’s touristic offering as a main contributor to the overall economic growth in line with the Economic Vision 2030.
