BUMUN kicks off

Manama, Nov. 26 (BNA)— The Bahrain Universities Model United Nations (BUMUN) sessions kicked off today under the patronage of Personal Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The 12th edition of BUMUN is organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sport Affairs, in the presence of Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for International Relations Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Assistant Undersecretary for Youth Development Imen Faisal Janahi and the UN Programme Resident Representative Amine Al-Sharqawi. A total of 227 students from 38 local and Arab universities took part in the event which is a simulation of the UN Secretariat General and its affiliated councils.
