Cabinet approves conditional visa waiver between Uzbekistan, Iran

Tehran, IRNA – The Cabinet of Iran on Wednesday in its session, approved a conditional visa waiver between Uzbekistan, and Iran for the holders of diplomatic passports. The Cabinet of Iran on Wednesday approved a conditional visa waiver for the holders of diplomatic passports between Uzbekistan and Iran according to the agreement during the recent visit of the Iranian President to Uzbekistan between the governments of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Uzbekistan on the condition of reciprocity. Accordingly, conditional visa waiver for the holders of the diplomatic passports will be activated by complying with the 30-day stay period within 6 months from the date of first entry. Prior to this, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, on July 15, 2022, heading a parliamentary delegation, arrived in Uzbekistan and urged visa waiver between Uzbekistan and Iran.
