Call for strengthening youth's character against terrorism

Dubai, Oct. 18 (BNA): Isa Cultural Center (ICC)'s Deputy Chairman and Executive Director Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa said that terrorist organizations are using very sophisticated media techniques that have significant brainwashing effects on the youth, adding that competent authorities have yet to find effective means to address them for the protection of future generations. This came in the ICC Deputy Chairman's work paper "Modern media and its impact on youth", presented during his participation in the Culture of Positive Thinking; Reality and Challenges Conference organized by Women's Association in Dubai in Dubai. Shaikh Khalid emphasized the significance of educating the youth and strengthening their character them against the complex virtual world, as well as disseminating the spirit of optimism and hope. He noted the need to activate the vital role of the family in educating and raising awareness among the youth, calling for developing strategies and activities to engage the youth in the interest of the community and to help build a strong personality.
