Capital Governor visits Eker village

Manama, Feb. 27 (BNA): Capital Governor Shaikh Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa paid an inspection visit to Eker village. He was accompanied by Representatives Council member Ammar Al-Abbas, Capital Municipality Council Head Saleh Taradah, Deputy Capital Governor Hassan Al Madani, Colonel Isa Al Qattan from the Capital Governorate Police Directorate and a number of senior officials from the government services bodies.
The Capital Governor called on jobless people from the region to register and avail of the National Employment Programme which was launched recently by His Royal Highness the Premier in line with a recommendation by the Coordination Committee chaired by HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister to give priority to Bahraini citizens in employment.
The Capital Governor met with citizens and discussed with them the village's needs and problems so as to cater for them with the competent authorities. He stressed the governorate's keenness to reach out to citizens' needs in order to achieve stability and boost people's welfare. He emphasised the importance of direct communication with citizens and officials from the public and private sectors to serve the interests of the nation and citizens.
The citizens from Al-Eker village expressed thanks and respect to the Capital Governor for his keenness to follow up on citizens' needs and cater to them in cooperation with relevant public institutions.
