Capital's National Day preparations in full swing

Manama, Nov. 12 (BNA): The Capital's Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Head of the governorate’s High Committee for National Day festivities, has announced the governorate’s organising the seventh edition of public festivities to celebrate the Kingdom’s National Day anniversary of its establishment as an Arab and Muslim State by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783, Bahrain’s accession as a full UN member and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s accession to the throne. The Capital's festivities will include display fireworks, Police music band performance, traditional Ardha show, young entrepreneurs exhibition, contests, gifts, and kids toys villages. A car raffle draw will be offered by Zayani Investments for the fifth year successively. This came during a meeting attended by Capital Secretariat general director Shawqia Humaidan deputy head of the High Committee, and officials from the Capital's Secretariat and Governorate. The meeting also discussed latest developments and organizational matters regarding the National Days celebrations, including the celebratory programme, location map, media plan and other organizational matters. Also, it was envisioned that Tamkeen bazaar will be extended until December 16. This was the third meeting in the series of meetings that brought together officials from the Capital Governorate and Secretariat over the last two months. All role distribution outlines were in place including the main committees for security, services, media, protocols, and supervision.
