Charity work award recipients honoured

Manama, Oct.10 (BNA): A ceremony was held this evening at the Sofitel Hotel Bahrain Zallaq to distribute His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa Charity Work Award. Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa attended the prize-distribution ceremony, which was held under the patronage of Southern Governor HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa. The Deputy Premier reiterated the Government’s drive to encourage all initiatives, which as to foster the culture of charity work and promote the values of giving and dedication. He hailed the ever-growing charity works and initiatives in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, paying tribute to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. He stressed the importance of the ten-year-old award, which was launched in 2008, congratulating the 2018 edition of the charity work prize. Southern Governor HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa addressed the prize-distribution ceremony stressing the crucial importation of fostering the values and culture of charity work in society. He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. He paid homage to late His Highness Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa, who dedicated his life to serve Islam and Muslims and established many charity and humanitarian associations. A documentary highlighting the legacy of late HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa Southern Governor HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa presented an award - in tribute to late HH Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al-Khalifa – to Supreme Council for Health (SCH) Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa and Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa. He also distributed the prize of charity work to the winners.
