Children nationwide enjoy National Children’s Day

BANGKOK, Jan 9 (TNA) -- Children throughout Thailand enjoyed National Children’s Day 2016 on Saturday as many of them had a chance to watch the rare Peacemaker aircraft in the central province of Prachuap Khiri Khan, considered to be the last squadron in the world. Accompanied by either their parents or relatives, children watched with awesome as the Peacemaker aircraft of the Wing 5 emitted colour smoke like a Thai flag over the blue sky in the morning during the opening of this year National Children’s Day in Prachuap Khiri Khan. In the southern resort province of Satun, marine police gave away more than 500 boxes of gift to children near a pier while legal Myanmar workers watched with fun. Several activities are organised in Ranong province. And the activities became more exciting when Myanmar people traveled to the border province to participate in the annual National Children’s Day. A similar funfilled atmosphere was seen in the deep southern province of Narathiwat as government officials organised fairs for children at several places. Children lined in queue and received gifts presented by Their Majesties King and Queen at Thaksin Ratchaniwet Palace while free food was offered to children at a public park. In the chilly northern province of Nan, more than 30 small planes and paramotors were exhibited by flying in the sky. Many Children had an opportunity to see military hardwares. Staff at Maha Sarakham Hospital gave away gifts to sick children who are receiving treatment there as they were unable to enjoy the fun outside the hospital. (TNA)
