Cleanliness is learnable from infancy stage

Manama, Mar. 19 (BNA): Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh has called all the relevant entities to strive to increase young generations' awareness about environmental issues especially general cleanliness, affirming it is the responsibility of the family, educational and media institutions to enlighten the public about this aspect.
In his intervention during a regular discussion session held by the Shura Council's Committee on Public Utilities and Environment, Al Saleh said countries usually enact laws, impose fines and tough penalties to maintain general cleanliness of public utilities and the environment simultaneously with awareness campaigns through cultural, educational and media establishments.
We must not overlook the considerable role undertaken by the family as the key building block in the life of every child and the basic foundation whence a child learns customs and traditions as well as cleanliness and hygienic behaviours because learning begins from a very young age, he added.
