Coast Guard Commander receives American counterpart

Manama, Oct. 26 (BNA): Coast Guard Commander, Major-General Alaa Siyadi, received today the US Commandant of the Coast Guard, Admiral Karl L. Schultz, on the occasion of his visit to Bahrain. He welcomed the official and his accompanying delegation, stressing the importance of such visits to promote maritime security cooperation. The meeting highlighted the missions of the coast guard in maintaining security and preventing smuggling and breaking the law. The US official visited the Maritime Operations Centre and was briefed about its duties in maintaining security and safety.
