Commander-in-Chief patronises lecture on Jerusalem

Manama, Apr. 16 (BNA): Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa patronised today a lecture on Jerusalem which was given by Khalil Tafakji (a Palestinian expert and researcher at the Arab Studies Society and a specialist in geographical details of Jerusalem city). The lecture was held at the Royal Command, Staff and National Defence College. The BDF Commander-in-Chief stressed that the Palestinian cause has always been pivotal for Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He added that the kingdom's support to it stems from a strong belief in the rights of the Palestinian people to build their nation and acquire their legitimate civil rights in all fields. Tafakji pointed out in his lecture the Israeli strategic plan aimed at cutting down the rate of Arab inhabitants and drawing the future picture of Jerusalem through intensive expansion of settlements and the segregation wall. The Lecture was attended by Chairman of the Supreme Health Council Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Defence Minister Lieutenant General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Dhiab bin Saqr Al Nuaimi, Defence Ministry Undersecretary Major General Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Palestinian Ambassador to Bahrain Taha Mohammed Abdulqader and senior officers.
