Competition for best New Year decoration of streets and buildings

Taraz, January 01, 2010 (Khabar) - Competition for the best New Year decoration of streets and buildings was held in Taraz on the holiday eve. Almost all organizations, enterprises and educational establishments of the city took part into it. And the people themselves tried as best as possible to decorate their homes and yards. Almost all the buildings and any streets are decorated with electric garlands in Taraz today. That's where the fantasy was played out! From contour of the animal was made of a light cord, then it was swifted with a usual scotch tape, it became resembling a glowing fawns. It rushes forward with a sleigh full of presents. And this huge cake is inedible, but it pleases the eye and stimulates the appetite. A gray building of city “Vodokanal” became a gay colored house after decoration.

Yelena Kuznetsova, Taraz resident:
- Bright city at night and day. You go and felt approaching of New Year despite the fact that we have no snow. But a beautiful view, everything is bright and colorful. Children are happy, as well as adults. Everybody have a fun and it is good.

Results of the competition were summed up by a special commission. At first they wanted to select the best in several categories, but then they changed their minds. Therefore, the prizes were handed out to all participants. But the main award, a big TV-set was handed to the largest local company “Kazphosphate”. Citizens saw how almost all employees of the company actively participated in the contest.

Yertargyn Astayev, mayor of Taraz city:
- It is, firstly arouses the patriotism of our citizens, our employees, our colleagues. In order the visitors, citizens, residents of our region, arriving in the regional city se beautiful and well-decorated city. We want our children to be brought up in this spirit, the spirit of beauty.

Everybody watches the New Year beauty – city residents and guests. The most important decoration was located in the central square, 25-meter beautiful fir-tree.
