Concert of Kazakhstani musicians
London, October 19, 2009 (Khabar) - The Victoria and Albert Museum in London has witnessed a concert by Kazakhstan’s musicians, where the audience of the UK was able to enjoy such songs as Kozimnin karasy and Aittym Salem Kalkamas by Abai. The head of the music festival George Lavorok said that he was amazed by the skills of the musicians. He particularly liked the performance of Kazakhstan’s composers, since they were completely new for him. The music touched him a lot.
Botagoz and Bulat Tynybekov are graduates of the Royal Academy of Music in the UK. Currently, the holders of the Bolashak scholarship are soloists of the Karaganda philharmonic hall and teachers of the Almaty school of music. Also, they were able to win several international contests.
Eleonora Bekova, musician:
- Representatives of the Kazakh nation are good musicians. I was very glad to listen to young and talented musicians from Kazakhstan. I would like to say that I welcome such performances.
The duet was invited as part of a special program of academic music, which was initiated by the UK Museum of Art and the Music Academy. The programme included music by Bach, Mozart, Gliere and Brusilovskiy.

- We were very pleased to know that Kazakh music appeals to this audience.
Botagoz Tynybekova, Graduate from Royal Academy of Music:
- I believe that we can learn a lot of things. We have a lot of ideas and we will spend our whole lives on their implementation.
