Conference on infectious diseases to open on Wednesday

Manama, Apr. 1 (BNA): The second annual infectious diseases conference will open on Wednesday (April 5) at the ART Rotana Hotel and Resort, Amwaj Islands. The two-day event will be held under the auspices of Supreme Council for Health (SCH) President Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa. The medical event will be held this year under the theme “2nd Annual Infectious Diseases Conference: Meeting the Challenge". The Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) Infectious Diseases Unit is organizing the conference which is expected to attract more than 500 participants. Over 25 keynotes speakers will address the conference and present papers, including leading specialists from Bahrain and other overseas countries. The conference will present an update on serious and dangerous challenges facing health and therapeutic strategies and outline latest and best practices for the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.
