Constitutional Court considers two cases

Manama, Oct. 24 (BNA): The Constitutional Court convenes on Wednesday to consider two lawsuits. The session is chaired by Court President Shaikh Khalifa bin Rashid Al Khalifa. Constitutional Case C/1/2016 was lodged to challenge the constitutionality of the procedures of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)'s Commercial Arbitration Centre, associated with Law Decree 6/2000 for alleged violation of the provisions of Articles 20 and 31 of the Constitution. Constitutional Case C/2/2016 was lodged to challenge the constitutionality of Articles 40, 41, 42 and 43 of the Property Rentals Law 27/2014 for alleged violation of the provisions of Articles 4, 18, 20/F, 104 and 105 of the Constitution.
