Construction of bridge in Altyntobe village

Shymkent, December 09, 2009 (Khabar) - Last week end became a real holiday for the residents of Altyntobe village in Kazygurt district of South Kazakhstani region. The bridge over Karzhan river was put to exploitation here. Altyntobe village is divided by river into two parts. The school is on one bank, and some pupils living on the other. They had to get to wade to reach the school.

Lyaziza Absamatova, a resident of Altyntobe village:
- Especially during the spring floods there were cases when children could not cross the river, and did not go to school for several days.

The villagers raised this problem during the previous report of regional governor. He promised to solve the problem. The national budget allocated 140 million tenge for the construction of the bridge. Roads were also covered with asphalt according to the request of villagers. And this is not the only problem that was solved due to “Road Map” program in Kazygurt district.

Mukhtar Momynov, deputy governor of Kazygurt district:
- This year water pipelines were reconstructed to improve the water supply. All these activities are done to improve the lives of rural residents.

18 km of road connecting the main roads of the district with Altyntobe were overhauled under the "Road Map” program.
