Consultations begin to nominate NIHR commissioners

Manama, Mar. 13 (BNA): Tasked by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and in compliance with Royal Order 17/2017 issued by His Majesty that specified the terms and conditions for the appointment of members on the National Institution of Human Rights (NIHR) board of commissioners as per the latest amendment of the Law for Establishment of the National Institute for Human Rights; Royal Court's Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa has started consultations to nominate commissioners who must meet the preset terms and conditions. All the nominees should collectively have a clear record in serving the community and in boosting and protecting human rights, with prominent local, regional and activities in the field as well as keenness on pro-rata representation of women and minorities.
