Cooperation between executive, legislative branches stressed

Manama, June 23 (BNA): Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa has praised the cooperation between the legislative and executive branches for the benefit of Bahrain and citizens and for enhancing the standards of services.
This ensures the achievement of a successful legislative experience according to the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Shaikh Khalid said as he received Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal.
Shaikh Khalid stressed the keen interest of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, in consolidating cooperation with the Council of Representatives.
HRH the Premier regularly directs ministers and officials, each according to their capacity, to communicate effectively and positively with the Council of Representatives that he sees as the house of the people and their voice, Shaikh Khalid added.
The deputy prime minister also highlighted the interest and interaction of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, with all the issues raised by the Council of Representatives related to local issues and topics.
The Speaker expressed the Council's deep pride in the directives and unlimited support of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to enhance cooperation and coordination between all branches in order to serve the Kingdom and citizens and boost achievement in various fields.
She also hailed the cooperation between the Council and the government, led by HRH the Premier and supported by HRH the Crown Prince and First Deputy Premier, as well as the distinguished efforts exerted by Team Bahrain and the preventive measures taken to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
The Speaker stressed the significance of regular discussions, consultations and coordination between the two branches, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances caused by COVID-19 across the globe.
