Cooperation on higher education discussed

Manama, Nov. 2 (BNA): Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Noaimi has received Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Simon Martin, and explored with him the close bilateral ties and means to develop the cooperation especially in the field of technical and vocational education. The ambassador listened to a briefing from the minister regarding the career development programmes implemented by the ministry in association with British higher educational institutions that benefitted more than 70 Bahraini teachers. They discussed the activities and programmes to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Bahrain-UK ties. Dr. Mona Al Baloushi the Acting Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council and Kifaya Al Anzoor the Director of Organisations & Committees Affairs Directorate in the Ministry attended the meeting.
