Cooperation in youth, sports fields discussed

Manama, Jan. 16 (BNA): As part of Education Ministry’s keenness to implement the outcomes and recommendations of Youth Summit 2018 held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister; and, upon the directives of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Youth and Sports and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, dedicating all potentials to serve the youth sector; Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi held a meeting with Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Ayman bin Tawfeeq Al Moayyed, in presence of several ministry officials. During their meeting, the two ministers reviewed the cooperation in the youth and sports fields. The Minister of Education outlined the ministry’s services to student athletics, including 7,895 activities benefiting 453,423 students. Also, the Education Minister outlined the ministry’s physical education, scouting and guides activities including 1,386 activities implemented to the benefit of 57,028 students. The two ministers visited the Wadi Al Sail Primary Boys School where they inspected the school’s sports facilities, including the gym, rubber and grass playgrounds architecturally designed as per the standards and specifications of sustainable green buildings. On this occasion, the Minister of Youth and Sports praised the Education Ministry's efforts to the Bahraini youth and sports activities, stressing the importance of boosting the cooperation between the two ministries to serve this important segment of the young Bahrainis in the various stages of schooling to achieve the shared goals in boosting the welfare of youth and their involvement in useful activities.
