Council of Representatives to go hi-tech

Manama, Aug.25 (BNA): The Council of Representatives will go hi-tech during the coming legislative session. Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal said that the full digital switch would cover the world of the Council of Representatives and General Secretariat. “The next legislative session will be electronic par excellence", she said, adding that modern technology would be optimized to submit parliamentary proposals and questions and get rid of paperwork. She cited the keynote speech of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa at the opening of the previous legislative session, describing the royal address as a roadmap for parliamentary work.
