Council of Representatives Speaker hails HM King’s keynote speech

Manama, Dec.30 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal hailed the keynote speech delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Khalifa as he addressed the ceremony during which the winners of the 3rd edition of the King Hamad Youth Empowerment Award were announced. She praised the award which represents a global initiative aimed at enhancing the role of youth and mobilizing their potential and capabilities, and employing their creative and ambitious ideas to contribute and participate in making influential decisions and contributing to comprehensive development goals. She said that HM the King’s visions and wise approach have turned Bahrain into a key center and a fundamental partner that supports the efforts of the United Nations in implementing international commitments and achieving sustainable development goals. She praised the national efforts exerted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs in ensuring the continuation of the King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment despite the exceptional circumstances due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
