Crown Prince meets Thailand’s new ambassador, highlights strong bilateral ties

Manama, Oct. 23 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Chayapan Bamrungphong, at Riffa Palace.
His Royal Highness highlighted the strong bilateral ties between the Kingdoms, noting how the relationship had progressed across all levels. In this regard, His Royal Highness emphasised the efforts of the Kingdom of Thailand in promoting further cooperation amongst Asian countries and reinforcing their role in the global economy.
The Crown Prince remarked on the success of the recent Second Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) in Thailand, which was attended by the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad. His Royal Highness stressed the importance of such summits and their role in expanding opportunities for cooperation, commenting that Bahrain is committed to further developing relations, particularly in economic and commercial sectors as a means of delivering greater prosperity.
During the meeting, His Royal Highness expressed his sincerest condolences on the passing of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand.
The Crown Prince then welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador and wished him every success in his new role, adding that the Kingdom was committed to supporting the Ambassador in the performance of his diplomatic duties.
For his part, the ambassador expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with His Royal Highness and for his continued support to Bahraini-Thai relations, as well as his desire to enhance bilateral cooperation.
