Crown Prince visits Royal Guards, awards medals to BDF personnel

Manama, Sep. 26 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today visited the Royal Guards Headquarters.
Upon his arrival, His Royal Highness was received by the Commander in Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), His Excellency Field Marshal Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Royal Guards Commander, His Highness Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Royal Guards Special Forces Commander, His Highness Major Shaikh Khaled bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and senior officers.
The Crown Prince praised the BDF’s high level of combat readiness and proficiency, as well as their unwavering commitment and honourable service to the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad.
His Royal Highness highlighted the BDF’s important role in the Saudi-led coalition in Operations Decisive Storm and Renewal of Hope, which were critical to upholding regional security. His Royal Highness also paid tribute to the servicemen who have lost their lives fighting for the Kingdom’s security and stability, proudly recalling the patriotic sacrifices of Bahrain’s forefathers in protecting the country and its allies.
Following the National Anthem and inspection of the Guard of Honour, the Crown Prince listened to the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. His Highness Brigadier Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa then addressed the audience.
In his remarks, His Highness Shaikh Nasser expressed his appreciation and gratitude to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for his ongoing support to the BDF, which had played a significant part in helping the military achieve their advanced military capability.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser also underscored the importance of the Kingdom’s participation in the Saudi-led coalition to restore legitimacy and order in Yemen, as per His Majesty King Hamad’s wise directives.
His Highness stressed that the ongoing support from His Majesty and the BDF Commander in Chief continued to be a source of great motivation for personnel on the front lines, as well as those working back on base to develop strategies and enhance the military’s combat readiness. His Highness noted that Bahraini troops had achieved a high level of military proficiency that was acknowledged and praised by allied forces and Arab coalition countries.
His Royal Highness then presented medals awarded by His Majesty the King to members of the Royal Guards Special Operations Force in recognition of their devotion and dedicated service during postings in Yemen.
