Cultural forum at Saudi Embassy on World Arabic Language Day occasion

NNA - On the occasion of World Arabic Language Day, the Saudi Embassy organized on Sunday in cooperation with the National Commission for UNESCO a cultural forum under the theme of Promoting Arabic language - Role of diplomatic missions in the promotion of Arabic language. The ceremony was held at the Embassy’s headquarters in Hamra, in the presence of Caretaker Cultural Minister, Rony Araiji, Algerian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ahmed Bouziane, and Sudan's Ambassador to Lebanon, Sadek Ali Sadek, as well as representatives from Embassies of United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Morocco. Saudi Chargé d'Affaires, Walid Bukhari, delivered a speech in which he stressed the value of the Arabic language which is one of the oldest languages in history. Bukhari underlined the efforts of KSA to incorporate the Arabic language as one of the official languages at the United Nations General Assembly in 1973.
