Culture Min: Iran To Expand Cultural Ties With Lebanon

Beirut, July 3, IRNA - - Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini on Monday said Iran is to expand its cultural ties along with political relations with Lebanon. He was speaking to IRNA during his one day visit to Lebanon to inaugurate Iran’s cultural week in Beirut. Saying Iran will be a harbinger of unity among all Lebanese groups during the cultural week, Hosseini said Iran's cultural weeks have been increasingly held over the past few years with similar events being held in Turkey and Croatia. He said Isfahan province has organized the Iranian cultural week in Beirut during which handicrafts and other artistic works from the Iranian province are being displayed for one week. The culture minister said he is to meet with Lebanese ministers of information dissemination and culture separately in order to further expand mutual cultural ties and cooperation.
