Customs launches hi-tech scanning system at BIA

Manama, July 22 (BNA): President of Customs Affairs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has visited Bahrain International Airport to inspect the newly introduced advanced scanning system. The Customs Affairs announced earlier the supply of six devices as the first phase to replace the old ones at all customs ports. Those devices are considered as high-tech technology in detecting illegal and banned items. The devices are part of the second goal of the Customs Affairs strategy of 2017-2020. The Customs President hailed the dedication of the airport customs officers, highlighting the importance to keep up the high performance for further achievements.
