Customs to reduce paperwork

Manama, Apr. 26 (BNA): The Customs Affairs has today unveiled a plan to reduce paperwork The President of Customs Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa announced the scheme which aims to reduce the required documents that should be attached with import export statement to three. The move is part of dedicated efforts to promote economy, attract investments implement best international practices. The president highlighted that the step comes as part of the implementation of the Trade Facilitation Agreement of the World Customs Organisation that aims to facilitate the traffic of goods between countries.
