Defamatory tweeter questioned

Manama, July 22 (BNA): Chief Prosecutor of the Northern Governorate, Mohammed Salah, said the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate was informed by the Public Prosecution of an individual who had tweeted on his social media account in derision of a leading figure glorified by a specific sect. The Prosecution questioned the suspect who admitted that it was his own account, and ordered to detain him for seven days pending further investigation in compliance with Clause 310/2 of the Penal Code.
