Defence Minister patronises graduation ceremony

Manama, Mar. 14(BNA): The 8th judicial course for officers working with the Public Prosecution in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries has concluded today. Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant-General Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi patronised the final ceremony and presented the graduates with certificates, awarding the top achievers. Officers from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman took part in the course along with officers affiliated with the Bahrain Defence Force, the National Guard, the Ministry of Interior and National Security Agency. Lt. Gen. Abdulla bin Hassan Al-Nuaimi commended efforts to ensure the success of the course, stressed the directives of the BDF Commander-in-Chief to provide all financial and human resources. Military Judiciary Chief Major-General Dr. Youssef Rashid Fleifel said that the programme was designed and conducted under the supervisions of military judiciary officers and advisors representing the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute, the Public Prosecution, the General Directorate for Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence, the General Directorate for Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security and the General Directorate of Traffic. The program featured practical and theoretical training related to the work of the Military Prosecution, the procedures of inference and the duties of the judicial officer, the investigative procedures of the Military Prosecution, the disposition of the judicial proceedings, lectures on international humanitarian law and human rights, field visits to various judicial and legal bodies in Bahrain.
