Delegated by HM the King of Bahrain, Shaikh Abdulrahman attends Egypt's mosque, cathedral inauguration

Cairo, Jan. 7 (BNA): Delegated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs, has participated in inauguration of Al-Fattah Al-Aleem Mosque and Nativity Cathedral in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and in presence of high-level delegations from sisterly and friendly countries. Shaikh Abdulrahman conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King to the Egyptian President, and his congratulations on opening the largest mosque and cathedral in the region, wishing the Egyptian leadership and people lasting progress and prosperity. In a special statement marking this occasion, Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa said that the opening of Al-Fattah Al-Aleem Mosque and Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ is an important historical event for Egypt, affirming its pioneering role in the Arab and Islamic nations in various fields. Also, the opening of such religious establishment sends message to the world about peace and coexistence, he added. He praised the pioneering initiatives and wise decisions taken by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to serve Egypt, its people, history, civilisation, expressing his confidence and faith in the Egyptian people to move forward in what would progress Egypt.
