Delegated by HM King, Foreign Minister attends late Tunisian President’s funerary ceremony

Tunis, July 27 (BNA): Delegated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, participated today morning in the funerary ceremony held for the late President of the Republic of Tunisia, Beji Caid Essebsi, in the presidential palace in Carthage. The Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed to the President of the Republic of Tunisia, Mohamed Ennaceur the deep condolences of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and those of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, on the demise of President Caid Essebsi, as well as their condolences to his family and the Tunisian people. The Minister of Foreign Affairs recalled the crucial role played by the late President in his leadership of the Republic of Tunisia and how it overcame a difficult phase of its history with wisdom and competence. He also expressed his appreciation for the late President for efforts to strengthen the brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Tunisia at all levels, wishing the Republic of Tunisia and its people further progress and prosperity. A number of Arab and world leaders, heads of government and representatives of countries and regional and international organisations participated in the funeral ceremony of the late President Beji Caid Essebsi.
