Deputised by HM King, National Guard Commander crowns Al Khaldiya

Manama, Mar.5 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa deputized National Guard Commander General His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa to attend HM the King’s Cup Final, which opposed Al Khaldiya and East Riffa. The cup final was also attended by the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) First Deputy Chairman, General Sports Authority (GSA) Chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) President HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa and other officials and fans of both teams. The National Guard Commander crowned Al Khalidiya which won the trophy after beating East Riffa through penalty shoot-outs at Bahrain National Stadium. He conveyed greetings and congratulations from HM the King to Al Khaldiya on the achievement, expressing pride at attending the cup final on behalf of HM the King. He valued the attention attached by HM the King to the sports sector which contributed to achieving honourable results and supporting Bahrain’s standing on continental and world sports map. He also congratulated Al Khaldiya on winning the trophy, hailing the club board efforts and commending the level shown by East Riffa and wishing them success in upcoming competitions.
