Deputy Interior Minister attends Munich conference

Munich, Feb. 19 (BNA): Deputy Interior Minister Shaikh Talal bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa attended the 54th session of the Munich Security Conference held from February 16 to 18, in the presence of heads of governments, Ministers of defence and interior and military and security experts from a number of countries. The event reviewed the latest international security happenings and their implications on global security and peace, as well as means to deal with various crisis that risk world stability, especially Syrian crisis, war against terrorism and conflicts with effects on the international community. On the sidelines of the conference, Deputy Interior Minister held a meeting with the Director of the EU Intelligence and Situation Centre, Gerhard Conrad in the presence of the Bahrain Ambassador to Germany and the Director of MOI Joint Counter-terrorism Centre. The meeting discussed regional security, cooperation and exchange of expertise between Bahrain and the European Union. Deputy Interior Minister held various bilateral meetings with officials from brotherly and friendly countries.
