Deputy King honours RAP commissioned officers

Manama, Dec. 20 (BNA): The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today honoured the graduation ceremony for the eleventh commissioning class of the Royal Academy of Police Cadet Officers, which was held under the patronage of His Royal Highness. Upon arriving at the graduation ceremony, the Deputy King was welcomed by the Minister of Interior, His Excellency Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, and other senior officers The Deputy King emphasised the key role the Ministry of Interior plays in maintaining security in the Kingdom, which represents a vital pillar for building on and expanding the Kingdom’s achievements under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad. The Deputy King also recognised His Excellency the Minister of Interior’s significant contribution to the stability of the Kingdom, and extended congratulations to the commissioning officers who will play an important role in protecting Bahrain’s citizens and residents. The Deputy King paid tribute to those Bahraini soldiers and officers who sacrificed their lives defending their country, and went on to note that Bahrain’s Commemoration Day, which falls on 17 December, is a reminder of their selfless dedication and commitment. In an address to the officers, His Excellency the Minister of Interior expressed his gratitude to the Deputy King for honouring the graduation ceremony, while recognising the officers’ commitment to advancing their capabilities and readiness through the adoption of best practices. His Excellency the Minister of Interior went on to highlight that the ceremony coincides with the recent successful parliamentary and municipality elections, which represent a significant milestone for the Kingdom’s efforts in advancing sustainable development and strengthening institutions. His Excellency the Minister of Interior concluded by highlighting that His Majesty King Hamad’s aspirations continue to underpin every aspect of development. The Deputy King inspected the officer cadets’ parade ahead of the commissioning parade. He also honoured the top achievers and officer cadets took their oath. HE the Minister of Interior then handed out the commissioning certificates to the officer cadets, commending their accomplishments and wishing them success in serving the Kingdom.
